The network-wide interruptions occurred while correcting configuration changes on a core router. The original changes were implemented during a planned maintenance window to optimize Facebook cache connectivity. The total duration spanned approximately 12 minutes each time before connectivity was fully restored. This included time for the automated rollback and network convergence. Your traffic may have been impacted for the duration; however, in most cases, traffic to individual affected member sites was down for approximately 90 seconds during each incident.
